Beautiful countryside

We spent a week in July at this gîte as a family of four—two adults and two teenagers—and had a wonderful stay. The property is set in beautiful, peaceful countryside in a charming village with stunning ...views over the surrounding landscape. Within about a 45-minute drive, you’ll find several picturesque French towns, along with plenty of opportunities to visit local markets and browse traditional brocante and antique shops. The historic town of Langres is particularly worth a visit. Bourmont itself also has a fascinating history and offers lovely walking routes through the village and its surroundings. The holiday home and the adjoining guest accommodation are modern, spotless, and very well maintained. Everything we needed was provided, including a great barbecue. During our stay, temperatures were around 30°C, so the refreshing swimming pool was a real highlight, and we also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi. The hosts were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this holiday home to families looking for a relaxing vacation in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Lire la suite

Wonderful stay in Bourmont

A little gem hidden in Haute Marne, Fabienne and Cyrille were the most gracious of hosts and the gite and gardens were impeccable. The pool, jacuzzi, electric bikes, weekend "bar" and mid-week dinner made ...it more special. The Bourmont Boulangerie and Au Petit Local are excellent and the next-door Sant-Thiebault has a small supermarket to give you everything you need. If you're looking for some road cycling routes I have a few which keep you off the bugger roads.

A fantastic place to enjoy nature and beauty with the family

The place is the perfect location for our family (2 kids with the age of 13 and 10). It is great to have ao much space for yourself, it is like living on your own private castle garden. Combined with the ...swimming pool and jacuzzi there is something for everyone in the family. The free of charge electric bikes allowed us to make some beautiful cycling tours through the environment. There are a lot of games available and we have been playing badminton with a lot of fun. The garden is so big and has all these nice little corners where you can sit, chat or read a book. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and they run a beautiful garden in which you can have some drinks and nibbles during the weekend. We have had a wonderful and relaxing time!

Fabulous gite in breathtaking tranquil gardens

Beautiful gite with very friendly, helpful owners. Words cannot do justice to the vast gardens which are beautifully maintained and secluded. The Bourmont might be off the beaten track but it is a little ...gem with an excellent bakery and with the owners’ pretty little garden bar, only occasional visits to Neufchâteau for provisions were necessary. The property is pristine, with a well appointed kitchen and modern wet room style bathrooms. Some may find the sleeping arrangements difficult for small children as the bedrooms are in separate buildings; others will enjoy the space! Finally, the views of the countryside from the lovely swimming pool and the crystal clear night sky from the hot tub are memorable.

Super relaxed stay.

We had a super relaxed stay in the cottage(s). The main cottage is relatively small but is very tastefully and completely set up. Well fitted kitchen, a comfortable couch and a good dining table. The bedroom ...downstairs is very comfortable and cool, which is a plus on warm days! The second bedroom (separate building) also has a private bathroom and an equally comfy bed. Outside is amazing; very large wel maintained garden with various places to sit down for a coffee or eating. The wide view from the pool is absolutely stunning. Many thanks to Fabienne and Cerille!
